rennai

lets talk about being "in love" now that i've talked about "falling" in one.
romantic teenager time again.
i should cherish this time since i'll probably throw these things away as i walk on.
however foolish it is.

i think, being in love, is bound tightly to being lonely.
when you're lonely, you are probably in love with something.
its something you notice, when you have some spare time, and suddenly decide to look at yourself,
you realise something is missing. something is void inside- or around- you.

its like how after this quicksand engulfs you,
you're left with total darkness and no oxygen,
but only your thoughts and memories
for you to see, to feed you, to keep you alive.
and you get to have a look upon yourself at that time
because
there is nothing else that you can see.

so in a way (in MY way),
when you're in love.
you're in love with yourself,
just as much as you're in love
with something that you think you do.

and when you love yourself, you start to notice things about yourself.
like empty spaces.

do you love yourself first than love something else?
or love something else than realise the love for yourself?
its almost simultaneous, i think. but i think its closer to the latter.

and you wriggle around in the dark air-less space.

but afterall its just me,
or maybe its just a japanese thing to associate love with isolation.
(thank you dexter for providing me answers to most of my questions. yes, its because im japanese)

we have separate words for love.
one is "ai" which means love in a more... common sense, quite the same with the love everyone talk about.
the other, is "koi" (no, not the fish)
which means you love something that cannot be reached, you don't have, or dead. gone.

i'm probably only talking about the latter,
maybe i haven't reached the mental maturity stage of "ai" just yet.

from today onwards im going to study.

is it me or did my comment encourage the frequent updates? =P

anyways, i believe a person "falls" in love, because at that instant u tend to defy your common sense and do the most stupidest things [yes, verrryyy stupid],
hence they say, a fool for love.
the loneliness kicks in only when your "love" for whatever it is, is taken away, n that space that u've unconsciously made for it is left vacant.
that loneliness is felt when u start looking for "love".
interesting illustration with d quicksand though. (=

it's sad not to be able to love, dun u think?

yes, and its exam time. i need someting to keep me busy... to look away from reality!

you "fall", because you're a "fool", and you get "blind".
it sonds like some sort of a virus.
a bad one too, which goes up to your brain and screws everything up.

i think everyone need SOME love in their life, no matter what kind.

but, is it better to love or to be loved?

for now im not really worth the mutual love/loved so i don't hope for much, really.

to be loved means u return the love based on one condition, that is that u hav to b loved first.
it pretty much depends on whether u think love is something that's negotiable and if there is such a thing as a fair trade.

bt to me a person can never refrain him/herself from loving something or sumone. it's in our nature to love. it's not at all that complicated.
and nobody can be denied of their right to love.

how's studies coming along? (=

love seems really complicated for me. i mean, people tend to think about it in their youth, some lose it as they grow up, and some don't get any.

studies? hmm. i called him earlier this month, but he never came. i think he's busy, so I must go to him but i have no transport. i guess i'll have to walk.
