hello, goodbye

i cannot believe its the end of the year already.

it seems like yesterday, no, just like an hour ago when i was in HELP, taking my A-level finals AND starting off my new subjects, meeting new terrifyingly terrific people.

it was such a joyride, im sad that its already over. kind of like a good book. you read them so fast, you kind of feel sorry when you finish it.

except that i can't read this book again.
but its not reading the book it matters. its what I've learnt from it.
and personally, i think i have learnt a great deal over the last year.
I've met some great friends (which i have written about, like 2 weeks or so before),
acquired some new, completely new set of knowledge, learnt how to set my hair, slightly more organised than ever, grown marginally taller, and the list won't end.

i'll end this year, hoping all my friends will have a good following year. (me? pfft i can manage fine without luck nor hopes)

lets make a list.
a list which i would try and achieve, in 2009.
a kind of small goal-setter.

  • study like a maniac now that im doing what i actually want to study, and which may lead to the fate of a person, a person whom is not me nor my friends
  • become more intelligent, not in the sense of academics, but more in the sense of empathy, emotion etc. something that actually matters.
  • get an eight-pack. six pack isn't quite enough
  • keep fit (which coincides with the above but whatever. nobody will read this seriously apart from myself)
  • keep my mother happy. (this should come right at the top, but oh well i do admit i just came up with this just now)
  • try, at least attempt to earn some money. part-time work, perhaps. tutor? translator?
  • I realise the more you attempt to change, the less you actually do. so I will try and change myself.
  • try to Keep my friends this time. (i failed so far to keep in touch with my past ones)

well the list shouldn't be too long, because its supposed to be a one-year thing, and if i have too many unfinished goal in 31536000seconds' time, i might be a little sad.
