mutual misunderstanding

funny things happen when you're on the halfway of learning things.

when i was still not at all good at english, i used to have a scottish friend called Gordon.
he was as small as i was, and although i didin't understand a word of his scottish-slangs, we got on well.

my mom used to introduce my father - as "husbund" so i was like, okay, thats how you introduce him
so i pointed to my father and said yes, he is my "husbund" to gordon, and he would repeat "your HUSBUND. okay. your HUSBUND..."
and we had this mutual understanding that we go no further on the subject.
i guess scottish people can be pretty accepting sometimes.

i wonder if gordon remembers me, my mom and my husbund. I remember his dad used to look like a pirate.
and had a chronologically gifted grandfather that was almost phonetically challenged, i think, or completely deaf.... phonetically disabled.
but he was a very nice grandfather afterall.

i would say, "hey. look at me now, im doing A-levels literature. do you remember my husbund?"

Hahaha. We got a pretty good laugh out of that. We, as in my sister, came into my room and I read it to her.

You know, you talk more about your mom than your husband, err, dad in your web log. :P
