chew

Have any of you tried chewing paper? - I have.
I just started a while ago, just to recall how its like.
actually, some book reminded me of it.

Its not like chewing gum.
it is more... obedient, sort of less springy but has solid feel to it, unlike the rebellious, plastic-rubbery feel of gum.
kind of like, a calm, good-natured person with very high security and s/he won't date you.

When you continue chewing for a while, chew-chew-chew, it disintegrates into lots of short, thin strands of fibre,
which you'd have to take care not to swallow them, and roll them up in your mouth into a cud, and chew-chew-chew.
i kind of like this transition.

kind of like, a new dangerous concept you could read in some psychology book, or a novel.
you'd be o.k. with biting it, twirling it around in your mind, and tasting them.
You can feel it changing texture slowly though - to something more farmilier, easily acceptable,
and when the time comes, it screams "hey, swallow me"

but you know you shouldn't swallow.
best thing to do, is to spit it out, take a fresh piece (if you like) and start over.

...but you can't help some infinitesimal amount going into your system,
some day it may turn maveric on my system,
just like how some ideas and concepts may change the way you percieve and think, not necessarily for the good (but what is good and bad?)

oh well.

Last year in school, there used to be one cheerleader who would eat paper on request.

For our public entertainment, pleasure (like yours, maybe?) and 50cents as a token of appreciation XD
